"OUR TAMAR DAY" Carnival

Despite criticism and queries raised by public, government still insists to push ahead for the Tamar project. Tamar is definitely the last piece of land in Central connecting with the harbour. We will try our best effort to let the public aware of the importance of the planning issue in Tamar and let the public have the opportunity to witness, enjoy and decide on the future of this piece of precious land.

A Tamar Day will be organized on 30th April 2006 to let the public have the chance to envision, enjoy and to participate in designing the future of this site. The Tamar will be closed to public from May 2006 and we may not have the chance to visit this place again before it turns into a huge construction site. We are planning to ask as many families as possible to come and to draw pictures on what is they think the best for Tamar and we may be able to make a Guinness record if we can invite enough families to come. Do join us and help in spreading the news.

This function is jointly organized by the Action Group on Protection of the Harbour, United Social Service Central Limited, Office of Legislative Councilor Dr Kwok Ka Ki, Society for the Protection of the Harbour, Friends of the Harbour and Designing Hong Kong Habour District.
