Request For Independent Review - Central & Wanchai Districts

The "Expert Panel Forum on Sustainable Transport Planning and Central-Wan Chai Bypass" held on 3rd September 2005 and organized by the Harbour-front Enhancement Committee highlighted the contradiction: the government claimed that reclamation is needed for solving traffic problems, while reclaimed land would be used for more commercial developments in the future.

Therefore, Society for Protection of the Harbour encourage people to request the government to review its present policy of extensive development of the Central and Wanchai Districts. Please sign and send us the following reply slip. Please read the appendix for details.
